• 1 egg
  • 1 slice of your favorite bread (gluten-free optional)
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • Salt and pepper


  • Melt butter in a frying pan
  • Make a hole in the bread with an upside down cup
  • Crack egg into small dish or cup
  • Lay bread in the pan and drop cracked egg into the hole
  • Sprinkle with salt, pepper, or celery salt
  • Fry until bread is browned slightly and egg is set
  • Flip egg in bread over
  • Lay cheese on top and let melt slightly
  • Cook to personal preference, remove, and serve
