About Food and Truth
Food is essential to life. And so is truth. The quality of the food we ingest determines our health. Therefore, it is essential that we know the truth about the ingredients in the food we consume. Food and Truth is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with the mission to inform, educate, motivate and organize around food ingredient issues.
To fulfill the organizing promise in our mission statement, we are developing Fit2cook4kids as a model program and solution to the catastrophic epidemic of childhood obesity and related diseases. Fit2cook4kids was launched as an after school program in late March of 2009 at the DiVinci Center in Providence.
The first Fit2cook4Kids summer camps were launched at the Independence Square Foundation building on the URI Kingston Campus during the summer of 2010. Since that time Food And Truth decided to pursue the summer camp model.
Fit2cook4Kids summer camps are being held at various locations during 2012. Please visit our camp page for dates, prices and locations.
